There was a boy with a world in his head,
A world of magnificent wonder.
There he lived all alone
Or so was assumed by others.
There she stood, the Fairy Queen
And looked at the King so sweetly.
The boy he smiled and sat down
To gaze upon them lovelies.
Never would they know, the King and Queen,
That the boy did see them truly
All they saw was silence, they thought,
For they did not know they were fairies.
For the King and Queen lived in another world,
And never could enter his home.
For the boy was trapped in agony,
And was without a single key.
So the Queen would sit and watch,
And pray for the boy to love her.
She didn’t know that she was the Queen,
She didn’t know she was a fairy.
Every day the Queen found the gate,
And she knocked to be let in.
The boy felt fear and screamed so loud
That she ran before she could enter.
Oh, the tear that ran from her eyes
Created the mightiest river,
In his mind, that river carried him further,
For he was afraid to hurt her.
So they waited, the King and Queen
For the boy to come home.
To come home and love them.
Many moons passed as the boy waited still
For the King and Queen to enter.
For they had never come into his world
In all the suns of his childhood.
Then one day came a song from the gate,
There stood the Queen with a harp.
She sang and she played through night till dawn
To call the young boy back to her.
The boy did hear and longed for her,
And something broke inside him.
He approached the queen and held her face
And kissed her upon her nose.
Then did the Queen finally see
That the boy did truly love her.
A touch could convey the greatest
Of love forever and ever and ever.
Fairy Queen and Fairy King loved the boy forever.
